To take my four+ years of actively participating in school board meetings and implement ideas as a new board member who will consider all people sharing an interest in the school system.

My Vision

As a Buckeye resident, taxpayer, parent, volunteer, and former employee; I have firsthand knowledge of many challenges faced by our schools. I am passionate about advocating for positive change and accountability in our education system. An excellent start would be including maximum participation from the public in fully compliant Sunshine Law meetings.

A Peek at My Priorities

Student Backing

• Maximize parent involvement and state resources to unlock students' full potential, no matter the academic level.

• Advocate for a safe environment from intimidation or inferiority.

• Support students' individual academic choices, regardless of the effect on enrollment numbers.

Taxpayer Focus

• Provide full disclosure of total actual project costs, including interest amount and length of time for loan repayment.

• Explore alternatives and cost comparisons for capital improvements.

• Properly represent Operating Expenses, reducing the need to use an Emergency Levy for regularly occurring costs.

• Gain an understanding of the proper use of accounts, and the procedures for moving cash between them.

• Improve two-way communication between the school board and parents, employees, community members, etc.

• Discuss public business publicly as described in Ohio Sunshine Laws.

• Re-evaluate the new policy on public comments at school board meetings.
